Edineț district — the hearth of fiddlers, the area of reefs and gorges, the area of the Prut rivers, a corner of heaven on earth blessed by nature, traditions, gastronomy specific to the northern area.
The district’s cultural potential is created from 39 Culture Centers, 2 Multifunctional Cultural Centers in which 117 amateur artistic formations are active, of which 26 hold the honorary title “MODEL”, 34 folk ensembles, 2 popular music orchestras, 4 tarafuras, 3 ensembles of whistles, 12 folk dance ensembles, 12 folk theaters, 1 choir, 10 vocal ensembles, 2 marching bands, 8 dramatic theaters, 7 light music ensembles, 13 modern dance ensembles, 6 sports dance ensembles, 3 art studios, 46 libraries, of which 37 are included in the NOVATECA program.
